Yu Shin Liou earned B.S. from the Department of Sociology, National Taiwan University where her thesis explored the network dynamics in social media. She is interested in computational social science, human-computer interaction, human-centred AI, and social networks. Outside of academia, she works as a business consultant at Kyoto Hachiyudo Inc. She is also a wildlife photographer, focusing on capturing images of Formosan rock monkeys.
