PhD Student, Sociology, Cornell University.
My research primarily focuses on utilizing advanced Natural Language Processing techniques, such as Large Language Models (LLMs) and Masked Language Models (MLMs), to delve into the dynamics of polarization and opinion formation in the mass public. Among my other projects, for example, I have conducted randomized control experiments to investigate how various moral criticisms influence public opinion towards poetry. Additionally, I leverage LLMs and MLMs to dissect the nuances of persuasiveness in different settings and study the impact of social networks on disease transmission. In addition to Sociology, my collaborations span several fields, including Information Science, Literature, Computer Science, and Public Health, highlighting a multifaceted approach to research. Beyond academic circles, I also perform data analytics for non-academic outlets: my recent work with Adam Szetela was featured in Newsweek.
